Using Emergency LED Lights for Vehicles

by | Jan 22, 2016 | Parts & Accessories

Everybody is using LED lights these days, mainly because everybody wants to be environmentally friendly. This is no exception even when it comes to law enforcement and the lighting that they use for their vehicles. You would think that most police departments would use standard light bulbs to light up their police cars and emergency vehicles. However, these departments are looking to save money any way that they can, and using emergency LED lights for their vehicles, helps them do that. Here are some reasons why LED lights are beneficial to law enforcement.

Long-Lasting
LED lighting lasts a lot longer than traditional light bulbs. They consist of diodes and have a long-lasting operational life expectation of close to 100,000 hours. At 100% operation this totals up to be 11 years of operation, and 22 years if only used at 50% capacity. If you kept this light running for a total of 8 hours a day, you wouldn’t have to replace it for another 20 years. This benefits law enforcement and their vehicles.

Energy-Efficient
Most everyone is looking for a way to be more energy efficient these days. Traditional light bulbs simply don’t cut it anymore. LED lighting is the most efficient way you can cut back on energy with sources of light. Almost 90% of the light is energy efficiency which is nearly three times as more than a traditional light bulb. Imagine how much money this will safe law enforcement from having to replace light bulbs and bars for their police cars.

Durable
One of the reasons law enforcement like using LED lighting is that they are way more durable than standard light bulbs. They are rugged and are able to handle any type of condition regardless of whether or incident. They are the best lighting systems to use for outdoor use such as police cars and parking lots. They are also ecologically friendly and have no toxic chemicals inside them. This means when they are thrown out, no harmful chemicals or additives are getting into the air we breathe or water that we drink. The people of the community will appreciate that.

Traditional light bulbs simply do not cut it any longer. They don’t last as long and they are definitely not eco-friendly. Take the time to find the right light bulbs for your police cars and your budget will thank you later.
