Packaging Your Finished Products Prior to Shipping

by | Sep 5, 2019 | Business

As your factory’s products come off the line, they must be packaged in a way that makes them safe and effective to ship to your vendors and customers. You could pile hundreds of individual boxes and bags into the back of a truck and then send off the products to their intended recipients. However, your customers may not appreciate receiving loose packages that have to be sorted and stacked before they can be warehoused. They may think you do not take your service to your customers seriously.

Instead, you can avoid looking like a lazy business owner by making sure all of the products are wrapped and secured prior to them being loaded into the truck. You can invest in an orbital stretch wrapper that can wrap products securely on pallets and prevent boxes from falling over and tumbling during the time they are being transported in the back of the delivery vehicle.

You may wonder why you should get an orbital stretch wrapper for your factory instead of hiring several people to wrap the pallets for you. What advantage could a machine offer that you could not find with human labor?

Wrapping a pallet stacked high with finished products can be a tiresome and lengthy job if you rely on people to do it for you. Your workers would not only have to handle the massive rolls of cellophane needed for the job. They also would have to go round and round the pallet, all the while climbing higher to its top, to fix the products securely to the pallet. Even at that, the wrapping may not be as tight as you would hope it would be for safe transport. A machine, however, can wrap the cellophane around the pallet in record time, ensuring it is snugly in place.
