When you live in an apartment while you’re in college, it can be fun having your own space and freedom. However, it can also seem a bit empty if you’re not sure how to decorate it. Here are a few tips to keep in mind.
Wall Decorations
While living in UGA student apartments, you can add decorations to your walls to enhance the appearance of your home. You could tack a few posters on the walls, picture frames of family and friends, or a few artistic images of things that you enjoy. This is when you can really let your overall personality show so that visitors can get a better understanding of who you are as a person.
Rugs
A simple way to decorate when you live in one of the UGA student apartments is to put rugs on the floor. Non-skid rugs can be used in the kitchen, plush rugs can be put in the bathroom, and a large area rug can make your living room feel a bit larger. Rugs can also be comfortable and warm to walk on if you have laminate or hardwood flooring in your home.
Lighting
Many apartments have bright lights that can sometimes be too distracting. Create a warm glow in your home with a few lamps on end tables. You can put the lights on a timer so that they don’t stay on all day in case you forget to turn them off before going to your classes or going to bed at night.
