Customizing Your Vehicle With new Mercedes Wheels

by | Jan 5, 2016 | Automotive

The Mercedes has always been known as a classic, upscale type of vehicle, right down to the Mercedes wheels. They also have the reputation of being a must have ride for someone who wants a top of the line car that is both classic as well as has the performance of a top vehicle.

Today, while still a classic vehicle and a beautiful car to drive, the image of the Mercedes is becoming more user-friendly. This includes even moving from the traditional stock types of wheels and interior to some very interesting options in aftermarket Mercedes wheels and accessories.

If you are going to change the OEM Mercedes wheels with something new, there are a few basic things to keep in mind. You want to be careful to choose wheels that match the quality and lines of the car, and this isn’t a set of wheels where you want to go bulky or low-cost. Instead, these wheels have to be up to the job of matching with the car and giving off that look of distinction and quality.

Using Colored Wheels

Colored Mercedes wheels are not for everyone, but they are a great addition to a sporty looking car. Choosing a color that either complements the vehicle color or matches the color is a great choice.

For example, white wheels or white and black wheels really stand out on a white vehicle. On the other hand, if the white has pin striping or other accent colors you can pick up those colors in the wheels for a much racier looking vehicle.

For a classic look on a Mercedes the all black wheels, either in a gloss or matte finish, give it that upscale ride look. These wheels are particularly a great match on a dark body color, and the hint of chrome in the design can pick up the chrome on the vehicle.

Open Looks for Speed

You will find that the vast majority of aftermarket Mercedes wheels have an open spoke design. Closed wheels look too heavy on these vehicles while the more open look makes the car look fast.

If you like a bit more substance to the design choose a smaller spoke, a split spoke or a pinwheel style of spoke that looks terrific when stopped as well as when rolling.

Finding the right Mercedes wheels is really a matter of personal taste. Take the time to look at the options available before making your final choice, you will be surprised at the variety you have to choose from.
