Casino parties are a great way to raise funds for a cause or give employees a fun “thank-you” event. One of the reasons they are so popular is that everyone has a chance to win. You can help make the event more enjoyable for everyone by including a “cheat sheet” for players to use at the casino tables. Those unfamiliar with poker will appreciate this thoughtful gesture and it might help you sell tickets. Here’s an idea of what to include:
Winning Hands
Winning five-card hands in descending order:
- Royal flush: All in one suit, in sequence of A-K-Q-J-10
- Straight flush: All in one suit, in any sequence, such as 9-8-7-6-5
- Four of a kind: Four of the same value, such as A-A-A-A
- Full house: Three of any kind, plus a pair of any kind
- Flush: All in one suit, no sequence needed
- Straight: Any sequence of five, such as 6-5-4-3-2
- Three of a kind: Three of the same value, such as 5-5-5
- Two pairs: Two pairs of cards, such as 9-9 AND 5-5
- Pair: Any pair, such as A-A or 2-2
- High card: Whatever your highest card is
Game Progression
At casino tables, the player to the left of the dealer starts by betting or “checking” (passing), with the option then moving to the next player. When someone bets, each player has three options:
- Calling: Putting the bet amount into the pot, or middle.
- Folding: Closing his hand and giving up any chips he has put into the pot.
- Raising: Putting more chips into the pot.
This continues until all players have called or all chips are in the pot.
Good Luck!
These poker guidelines are easy to provide and can even be displayed at the casino tables, too. There are many variations, such as Texas Hold’em, which players can easily pick up. If a player gets stuck, don’t worry. Our professional dealers are there to lend a hand and ensure everyone has a great time. Call Casino Parties LLC today at 888 340-1873.
