Have you decided that you want to buy an In Duct Air Purifier? You’ve made a good decision, but you still have to learn some things if you don’t want to make a mistake with your purchase. There are certain features that your purifier should have. You want to purchase one that can deal with a variety of things. It should be able to kill mold spores just as well as it kills viruses and bacteria. Mold spores can be dispersed throughout your home through your duct work. With a purifier that kills mold spores, you can contain mold problems and stop them from spreading. The purifier that you choose shouldn’t make any ozone. Ozone is something that you can actually smell. It may also cause a problem with your central air conditioner. A purifying system doesn’t need ozone to do its job.
When buying an In Duct Air Purifier, consider how easy it is to install. Two different purifying systems may be able to produce the same results, but installation may be much more difficult for one than it is the other. This will lead to it being more costly. You also need a purifier that has a long ultraviolet(UV) lamp life. Having long lamp life will keep replacement costs down. You won’t have to always worry if the lamps are about to go out. When lamps do go out, how easy are they to replace? Lamps that are easy to swap out will keep replacement costs from getting out of hand. Make sure you know the coverage area of the purifier you are buying. If you have a large home, you’ll need a dual-probe purifier.
Small homes can be purified with a one-probe purifier. There are also multiple-probe purifiers that can be customized to clean large commercial buildings. If a purifier only supports lamps at one end, it is easier to deal with. A purifier from a reputable company will come with a warranty that will take the worry out of owning it. Look for a warranty that covers the purifier for at least a couple of years. Some of the better warranties will even cover the lamps for a few years.
